Where Do We Go After Death

By Leslie Ball

Scientists and spiritualists have many opinions concerning the topic of life after death and what happens when people die. When someone dies, the physical body is the one that stops to function but the consciousness remains. The spirit world become your home and dying does not become the end of life at least no in this world. Where do we go after death is therefore dependent on your religious beliefs and knowledge of the matter.

In the world today, people seem to know much about early things in more detail compared to previous years. When it comes to spiritual matters, people of the past had more knowledge concerning such matters. This information is not taught in schools as many people think it is old-fashioned and spends their lives ignorant of this topic.

The real occurrence takes place following the connection between the soul and the body has been completely destroyed and not when the body stops to function. A person has to accept their fate for this kind of death to take place which occurs later on. The soul of such a person hovers around the place where they lived for approximately a week.

After dying, a spirit guide usually a person that was close to them comes to lead them to the spirit world via the river Styx that separates this world and the next. The guide will assume the form of a Buddhist monk, a Christian priest or an angel. The way this river appears is different based on the religion of that person and once it is crossed, there is no point of return.

Souls are generally reluctant to move away from the earth after dying but in many cases, they hang around for a few days for their funeral. Most of the souls pass through some sort of a tunnel towards light coming from heaven. Ghosts are spirits who have decided to remain within the earth with a high degree of dissatisfaction and can be dealt with by exorcism.

Christians know very little about what happens between the period when someone dies and the last days when Christ will come up. The bible only talks about what will happen during resurrection and what will happen after that. Christians believe that the body and the soul do not separate after death but they both sleep until the coming of Christ on the last day.

Scientists have done a lot of research and think that they have found some convincing facts about life after death despite it being an unavoidable part of life. One of them is that the brain continues to have consciousness even after the body has ceased to function which explain these theories which requires more of faith than facts to believe.

Some people know ahead of time when their time comes; terminal illnesses when early diagnosed will enable a person to set their issues in order and say goodbyes. In such cases, every victim is able to accept this situation peacefully and to gradually adjust to the situation. However, most people do not get this chance as their deaths are sudden.
