And when you realize that you have arrived to your twilight years, you will feel very lucky and very fulfilled. But its not yet the end of your mission. That is because as long as we live, we cannot stop working. And the last task you have to undergo is being a grandparent.
This role is paramount because it caters to something that will build a childs character. Well surely, the parents take this task firstly. But grandparents will have to help significantly. And this is the reason why the Catholic Grandparents Association came into being. This is quite new to the ears but it has a vast significance.
Just like when adults became parents, their joy in having a child is incomparable. But at least that sentiment is not exclusive. It is because grannies too are as happy and excited as the parents are that they almost assume the baby as theirs. Well that is always the case and the explanation goes like this.
You see, the love which the parents have for their children is inclusive. They even get to love their kids friends a lot so what more if it were a grandchild. This is the reason why grandparents pamper their grandchildren a lot. That is simply an overflow of the love that they have for their child. When you ask grannies about this, they would simply say, I love my children, thats why.
That is how grannies feel for their granddaughters and grandsons. Given the fact that they are a product of their own kids, they loved them like their own. But sometimes, grannies become very fond of their grandchildren that they tend to spoil them. This is one reason why the association for Catholic grandparents existed.
Truly. In a Catholic family, nothing is more important than teaching and leading the child into the way of truth and life which is in God alone. Just as these grannies who were parents of the present ones before put their all to this mission, so do they have the same goal for their grandchildren. Thus, the association of Catholic grannies emerged.
Because of this, the association of catholic grandparents emerged. This group was founded by a granny as well who was a very loving one. She is Catherine Wiley and their vocation has been over ten years now. And it is such a blessing that this community emerged. According to the association, it is their responsibility, duty, and vocation to do what they can.
And the most loved granny of all catholics who is none other than the pope also supported the movement by saying in one of his homilies that he had come to love his grandmother so much because she had molded him in this faith. This remark had the grannies all over the world conscious of their role which was so often disregarded.
While the association did what they can to extend their apostolate far and wide so that all the grandparents in the world who wish to partake in this important role would be taught how and also be encouraged to engage in their mission work for Christ with utmost inspiration.
