The requesting individual is also required to indicate their personal information on the search since only the couple and their immediate families are allowed to request for a copy of the record.

All of the public documents of New York are managed by the state's Department of Health Services under the Vital Records Section. Unfortunately for the counties Buffalo, Albany and Yonkers, records from 1880-1907 are not in the state archive. Marriage records can also be requested at the county where it has been registered not matter what year it is.
