How Some Clergy Men Are Part Of The Catholic Issues That Needs Redress

By Laura Mitchell

The congregation of the modern age is developing and is encountering a few difficulties that are undermining Church existence. Thus, this article will instruct readers particularly on catholic issues being the first christian denomination that existed after the death of Jesus Christ.

It is quickly 2000 years since the congregation as an organization started. Some parts of the world have been encountering diminished populace of Christians in light of the liberalized views experienced across the world especially among the youthful populations. With new considerations and liberalization around the globe, church institutions must search for approaches to oblige the different perspectives if it wishes to exist in the midst of these mindsets and perspectives.

Interestingly, the church continues to possess divergent views, and they remain resilient of contentious issues pertaining chastity, birth controls, and celibacy. For a considerable length of time, the men of clothing have been part of the problems bedeviling the church because they are caught in the sexual misconduct. Clerics and ministers of the word of God involve themselves in sexual relations contrary to the world of God.

This reckless nature of clerics and ministers is painting the Church in a bad light, and some church ministries decide to take action while others prefer to cover-up the issues without taking charge to stem it out. This cover-up has lead to more complications with many people suffering in silence. The media on its part has to be bold to speak about the issues but because of cover-up nature in the church it will still struggle with the vices albeit in silence. Many people have been discouraged from going to church because there is no much difference between what is happening in the world.

This heedless nature of priests and pastors is painting the congregation in awful light, and some members of the congregation choose to stop going to the church. The worst part is that some churches have clergy that help conceal the issues but transferring the suspect clergymen to another diocese to prevent him from the wrath of the congregation. Such cover-up does not help the situation because the clerics continue with their activities in their new stations causing more damage to the affected parties.

The cover-up takes different forms with some men of clothe paying victims to buy their silence. In another diocese, the priest implicated in the vice is transferred to another diocese where they continue with their activities. If the church wants to offer the best solution to stem out such vices in its establishments, then they must take criminal action against those involved.

Even if it means taking criminal prosecution for such people that advance such indecent actions like having sexual relations with children then let it be because people cannot continue taking advantage of their priestly positions to have relations with children. If celibacy is the cause of all these problems, then they need to relook at the doctrine.

If a criminal action would be taken against clergy who involve in unlawful, indecent acts such as having sexual relations with children, then it will set an example to others planning to commit such vices within the establishments of the church. If celibacy is the reason for having such issues in the church, then the doctrine needs to be reviewed. Some of the other issues that need closer relook are the use of contraception and the role of women as priests.
