Tips On Efficiently Becoming Defenders Of The Gospel

By Carl Richardson

Becoming this kind of defender is one of the toughest jobs that you have to do. Not everyone believes in the Supreme Being. Therefore, it is your responsibility as a Christian to make them see Christ in you. That is the only way that you can defend your religion without offending anyone and living peacefully too.

Commitment is what it takes to be a disciple. Being defenders of the Gospel comes along with the responsibility that one needs to act according to what you preach. As what they say, walk the talk. In that scenario, you could hold your head up high and counter anyone who wants to ruin your reputation.

It is okay to commit sins but it is never okay not to repent for them. Remember that you will only be cleansed if you are willing to admit that you are not perfect. Plus, learn to forgive yourself for everything that you choose to do wrong. Take a firm stand in having a better life.

Read the Gospel and put it into action. If not, then one is merely a spectator of the Word. You would not be able to touch lives if you fail to make this world a better place. Words of encouragement from the Bible that are being said to another person can come a long way. So, put that into practice somehow.

You are required to allow the Lord to direct you to where He wants you to be. You may not fully understand His plans sometimes but this is all for the best. Besides, this is where your leap of faith is going to be tested. Let time provide you with the grand revelation later on. That can be the best way to live in this world.

Learn the art of ignoring your detractors. Yes, you never asked for them in your life but do not forget that they have been raised in a different background compared to yours. So, become more understanding because that is what can make you a better person. It might be a tough road but it is possible.

You should start having meaningful prayers. Remember that your personal relationship with the Lord is what really matters the most. So, spend at least one hour with Him before you go to bed. Never be too busy for your Savior. Plus, allow this to be the time when you could reflect on everything that happened so far. This could guide you on where you still want to be.

Be open to the perspective of others. In that way, you shall stop contributing to the walls which are being built in this world. You can still be friends with those who believe in a different religion. There is nothing wrong with that and you can even learn several things from them.

Be patient towards those people who always act to persecute you. Maybe, they just need the love that you have surrounded yourself in every day. So, reach out with kindness instead of the other way around. That is the least you can do.
