Discover Where Do We Go After Death

By Tammie Caldwell

At any given time the word death comes into play someone shudders in fear. Not because they know so much about death but because so little can be told about where do we go after death. We all have the knowledge that death is the ultimate equalizer that despite your status in life we will all end up dying. This gives people a sense of either fear or motivation depending on your religion beliefs and upbringing. This is because we know too well that it is instant; its at that precise moment when one takes in their final breath that one is pronounced dead.

In ancient Egypt there existed the old form of leadership that was headed by the pharaoh and at that time the Egyptians had a system whereby any royal leader whenever they die they are to be buried with all their belongings and staff. Thus, after pharaoh died, the systems dictated that they be buried with all their servant this is because they believed that even in their next stage of life their staff will help them in service.

In the east and central Africa in a kingdom known as Buganda they had a kingship way of leadership which they believed worked for them. Their form of leadership proclaimed all royals from their kings to their servants all royal but they varied in class. Upon dying of one of the royals they were prepared for an afterlife and their jaw bones were removed and preserved since they were proclaimed to be royals.

Hindus have a different belief system from the aforementioned systems. To them life did not really end with the final breath of the individual. They tend to believe that life starts all over again for one once they die. They believe that once your body dies the soul will be reincarnated in another state and that the individual will be born again in another form but in a different body or state.

The Christians on the other hand have a different way of seeing things. They have a believe system which has a supreme GOD that judges ones deeds. Thus upon the death of one Christian they have to undergo a judgment process and ones deeds determine whether they have a happy life in heaven or they suffer eternal fire in hell for their not noble deeds they did while on earth. They believe in a resurrection when their savior Jesus Christ comes back to save them.

A good percentage of people also believe that life is basically on earth only; they believe what happens on earth stays on earth and that there is virtually no God. These are basically the atheists. This system of belief makes them understand life as it is. They believe that there are no other forces behind life and life is all about logic and reality. They believe dying to be the end of everything.

Muslims on the other hand have a believe system that makes one believe that current life is a trial In preparation for the next life. Its almost the same with the story believed by Christians only that the act of judgment is different and their description of their heaven differ in some aspects.

Life and death are two different worlds.in life almost all can be predicted and forms of existence can be fore told as almost all steps of life have been lived before but in dying nobody really knows anything about it.
