People began to learn the way to smelting the minerals that are found from within the rocks that each of the early Neanderthals often found around everyone.

As such, when human beings began to learn how to create things out of minerals that are heated and melted down to craft into weapons. This practice is what raised mankind from the stone age and into the bronze age. The bronze age ushered a new era for human beings to look upon and with it, something new had come along.

This new thing was called jewelry. Since the time of Neanderthals, this has been around, but was made with lesser material. Jewelry are things or objects that are made to be worn by humans. The form of these objects tends to be rings that are worn on the finger, earrings for the ears, and necklaces as well. Bracelets can also be included in that list.

During the ancient age, the first known civilization that was advanced enough to make use of it were the Egyptians. The Egyptians often crafted many kinds of jewelry as they had admired how beautiful and regal it looks. Unlike today, those that wore these jewels are only those that are of noble birth. This made it seem more important.

The main kind of metal that the nobles of ancient Egypt preferred was the metal known as gold. Their fascination of this metal had come from the fact that it was quite rare to find and its regal nature had caught the eye and affection of nobles themselves. These factors had made gold into a highly prominent and coveted material.

Eventually it was not only valued because of how beautiful it was, but for a whole new reason to do so. The presence of gold had soon become something that would symbolize the majesty of their empire. Because only the royals could afford to wear it, it became associated with that as well.

Once the western empires began to rise up, the nobles were obsessed with gaining more wealth and gold. To achieve this purpose, many empires have sent out many expeditions that would search for new, undiscovered land. Once the explores discovered that wealth was abundant, these nations stole and pillaged the villages in search for more.
