Uses Of The Apologetics Ministry

By Ann Sanders

Repentance is the science and art of Christian faith. It can also be defined as the defense of Christian faith in relation to the church that you attend. 1 Peter 3:15 is the most quoted verse when it comes to repentance. The verse urges Christian to lead a life of love and peace. To be able to answer a question about their hope and faith with humility. Below are some of the reasons why apologetics ministry is important.

Apologetics help in persuading non-believers into joining the Christian faith. Acts 17 encourages Christians to persuade non-believers like Paul did. Saint Paul would go to the synagogue for three days and reason with the people while proving to them from scripture that Christ had to suffer, die and rise for their sake.

Muslims are taught all about their religion at a young age and that is why it is very difficult for them to stray away from their path. Since Christianity is not very strict, most of the people claiming to be Christians tend to know very little about the religion. The apologetics help them in understanding their religion thus easily defending it.

Apologetics is a way of keeping people out of hell. God is against sin and as Christian, we are supposed to urge non-believers to stay away from sin. We need to make them acknowledge that seen is real and God is real too. Sin is the reason why Jesus was sent from heaven to live among men and save them from the pending doom that awaited them.

Christians believe that they are forgiven of their sins as long as they accept Jesus as their personal savior. They also believe that they have a chance of having eternal peace in the safety of heaven. The apologetics are supposed to help us steer non-Christians in the right direction. Otherwise, they will suffer punishment for not believing.

Its normal for people to come out and criticize the religion. They especially put the spotlight on the fake religious leaders to make it seem that all of Christianity is a lie. The media has contributed greatly towards spreading this negative information. In such situations, we are called upon to defend our religion and correct the misinformation passed across.

They enable us to deal with the constant threat of apostasy. The bible clearly states that same-gender relationships are abominable and unacceptable to the Christian faith. Some churches have gone ahead and accepted these relationships which send the wrong message to the non-believers. Having repentance allow us to know how to handle such situations.

There are a lot of false teachings, especially by fake Christian leaders. Other religions too tend to relay the wrong information. For example, Muslims believe Jesus was just another minor prophet and did not free anyone from their sins. Other religions like atheism, openly denounce Gods existence and attack Christianity. Others like the Jehovahs Witnesses believe there is no hell.
