Overcoming Tragedy Through Codestiny Sheryl Sandberg

By Mark King

Call it tragedy or call it trauma, it is often not easy to overcome. While this is the case, most individuals go through difficult and challenging times at some point during life. For, some like codestiny Sheryl Sandberg, it is the sudden and unexpected death of a spouse while on vacation. Whereas, for others, it can be a bad traffic accident leaving permanent damage to health or the loss of a relationship.

Regardless of the type of trauma, Sheryl has helped thousands of individuals overcome and recover from such events. For, while losing a loved one can often be one of the toughest challenges in life, there are also other types of tragedies and losses. For example, someone having lost a limb or limbs in a major automobile accident, the loss of a precious heirloom or a couple going through divorce.

When it comes to codestiny, the individual makes all the decisions with a clear mind. In addition, getting rid of people around an individual whom promote negativity can often be essential in healing emotional scars left over from trauma. For, it is often easy to recognize when individuals are in a friendship or relationship solely for personal gain.

Exercise routines, meditation, yoga and good hygiene are also mechanisms which individuals facing a challenge can use. For, by staying fit in mind and body, an individual is more aware of the positive and negative aspects of life. Whereas, these can also be positive ways of letting go of anger and disappointment.

Getting involved in community activities, sports and other events can also be a way to focus on something other than the trauma. For, by focusing on something other than grief or pain, an individual overrides those feelings by focusing on the activity. Whereas, a local support group related to the trauma can often be a good way to learn how others were able to recover from the same or similar trauma.

People whom are active and participate in community events often interact with others more comfortably than those whom stay at home. In addition, people whom get out and network at various events are more likely to obtain a job or start a career. For, in meeting other people, individuals can often learn about a number of different opportunities whether related to jobs, community, lifestyle or services in the area.

In some instances, individuals may never fully recover from a challenge, loss or struggle. In fact, a number of people have panic attacks or fits when another person mentions a past traumatic event. While this is the case, when those individuals can start to embrace oneself for whom one is today rather than whom one was in the past, the panic attacks and fits often begin to fade.

A number of people, once having recovered from a trauma, sometimes feel it necessary to give back to others. Whether this be community, friends or acquaintances, especially the ones whom were there during the most difficult times, just the act of giving back can often calm body, mind and soul. In most cases, these individuals focus on groups and organizations which host community service events and volunteer jobs. For many, volunteering at an organization related to the type of trauma one experienced while talking to victims of all different types of trauma has helped more than a few get through the recovery process.
