Amiable Qualities Of Strong Women In Christ

By Donald Cooper

God created women at the end of his other creations to help man and to be a companion to him. The first woman was Eve but after that, there have been many others who have been strong on the word of God. Some examples of strong women in Christ which are made known to us in the Bible are Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, Ruth, the prophetess Deborah and many others. These ones have some admirable qualities which young ladies of today would love to have.

One of them is that they dressed decently. Every woman who claims to be in Christ must dress in nice apparel. They must not dress to expose parts of their body for the fear of luring men and leading them to fornicate in their heart. Christ said that even in the heart, adultery can be done (Matthew 5:28).

She is also holy in her ways. Apart from her dressing, the way she talks, walks and acts in her workplace connotes this. Anything that will take away the Holy Spirit from her is not welcome at all. She does not give an excuse for sin or look for a small opportunity to get another man's attention.

A strong woman will always say the truth without considering the negative consequences of it. She is known for this in the office so her boss will prefer giving a job to a less qualified person provided he can cook the records. She does not mind if being sincere will make her poor for life because her greatest reward is not money but a mansion in God's Kingdom.

Furthermore, she does not cause trouble. Her spirit is humble and she is ready to take insults for the sake of Christ. Even when she is the best for a task, she does not brag about it or make herself known except her silence will cause a loss to the company. In the church, she does not agitate to share the word of God but instead, she always wants to hear from others in order to improve her faith. When she is giving the task to preach, her hearers immediately want to give their lives to Jesus.

She is also very much useful at home, to her husband and children. Although she is vibrant in the Lord and able to take up cities, he is also very humble and willing to perform her primary duties first. She is a typical example of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. Some of the things she does include helping her husband financially and waking up early to feed the family.

A strong woman in the Lord is always looking out for the needy to help them. She prepares meals for her servants and asks of the whereabouts of her friends just so that she can come in to help them where she can. She joins the church for hospital and prison ministration.

A strong woman in Christ remains strong by worshipping the Lord daily. She always gets up to pray and to study the scriptures even before the rest of her family is set to do that. She is a Christian, not just in word, but in practice. She is like a lamp on the hill that cannot be hidden.
