The Different Teachings Of The Episcopal Church In Lake Norman NC

By Roger Moore

Christianity has a rich history. No one can stop Christianity. Many famous men and women tried to stop Christianity but they failed miserably. That is the reality. It is the truth. Christianity is the fastest growing religion on earth. Every day, many people usually convert to Christianity. Even in countries where Christians are persecuted such as Saudi Arabia it is still possible to find thousands of Christians. There are two major Christian denominations. They are Catholicism and Protestantism. The Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC is part and parcel of Protestantism. America is a Christian nation.

The Episcopal Church is a Bible based church. That is the plain truth. It is the ultimate reality. The Bible is at the heart and center of a true church. There is the need to follow the Holy Bible to the letter. There is no single word that should be added or subtracted from Scripture. The Bible is complete in the way that it is. Scripture is holy and inspired.

The main Episcopalian teaching is the teaching of morality. A Christian should lead a moral life. There is need to follow the straight and narrow path of life because wide is the path that leads to death and many people follow it. A moral person will strictly abide to the Ten Commandments. These should be the light of his feet.

Christianity teaches about the dangers of sin. As a matter of fact, sin is a bad thing. Sin came to the world through two people. They are Adam and Eve. Since then, humanity has wallowed in sin. Actually, sin is responsible for all the pain and suffering in the world. It is possible to find forgiveness from sin.

There is sufficient grace for the forgiveness of even the vilest sin. This is the age of grace. Anyone who comes before the cross in repentance will be able to find forgiveness at the end of the day. One must acknowledge that he is a sinner and ask for forgiveness. After doing so, he needs to be baptized.

Repentance is the first step. After repenting of sins, one will need to be baptized. Water baptism is normally the case. Baptism can take place in a water body such as a river or a lake. Before anything is done, the pastor will first bless the water. Baptism is symbolic in nature. It symbolizes the start of a brand new life.

After baptism, a person needs should live a righteous life. He needs to avoid sin as much as possible. A true believer will persist in prayer. Christians need to pray so that they do not fall into temptation. The prayer of the faithful will heal the sick. Every believer must pray after waking up and before going to bed.

Attending Sunday service is vital. A Christian who attends service will be blessed. The service will start with a word of prayer. A bishop or a pastor will preside over the service. There will be a time for praise and worship. At the end of the service there will be a closing prayer. Church services usually bring together believers from the different walks of life.
