7 Beliefs That Are Connected To The Weeping Statue Mary

By Gary Rogers

Something very interesting has happened in a Catholic church in Hobbs, New Mexico. A weeping statue Mary has left many people with astonishment. This is because most of the onlookers have never seen anything like that in their entire like. Others have gathered around the molding paring for healing. This, to the Catholic believers, is a miracle from God. Thus, they have gathered around praying to the sculpting to intercede for them. The molding has attracted the attention of so many people, both locally and internationally. This is because not many people have ever seen a molding shedding tears.

The tears that the molding is shedding have been found to be balsam and olive oil. This is the mixture that is usually used to carry out certain catholic rituals after blessings from a bishop. That is why some onlookers gather to pray for blessing and healing because this is a miracle to them. No one knows why the molding is shedding tears up to now.

This is however not the only molding that has been claimed to weep in the Catholic history. So many similar occurrences have been happening. A good example is the sculpture of Madonna made of plaster that has been shedding tears for centuries. Additionally, other similar incidences have been seen in Hungary, Macedonia, and Argentina among many other places. The supernatural occurrence is thus not the first one of its kind.

If you do not first understand the significant connection between the Virgin and miracles, it will be difficult for you to understand why the crying sculpture is religiously meaningful. In the Catholic faith, the virgin is the mother of Jesus, thus God. Therefore, these believers have a strong belief that the virgin can perform so many miracles. Also, all these supernatural occurrences are being attributed to the holy Virgin.

Catholics believe that it is through the intercession of the virgin that the Lepanto battle emerged victorious. Thus, believers have faith that if you pray to God through her, you will be able to become a victor in your daily battles. More so, you will receive more blessing from God. This is the reason why Catholics intercede through the virgin because they believe that their prayers will be answered.

The tears that she sheds are very significant to Catholic believers. She cries because of the sins committed by the world and prays for the entire world. She also cries because of the pain she persevered during her days on the earth. These sorrows are referred to as the seven sorrows of the Virgin. These sorrows include the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death.

The scent of the olive oil and balsam is also used to depict her. This is because she is called the rose flower without thorns. Therefore, it is not surprising to find that the crying molding has turned to an object of prayer to many Catholic believers.

Nonetheless, when such an occurrence takes place, the local bishop must do some investigations. The bishop can do the investigation alone or appoint a committee. This committee will then investigate the occurrence with the guidance of Vatican doctrines standards. They thus evaluate whether the phenomenon is supernatural or not.
