The world today is filled with so many different religious leaders who claim to preach the true word of God. Prophetic pastor opportunities have come up with so many people claiming they are true prophets. This has brought with it so much confusion, with people not knowing who to believe and who not to believe. Seeing them around in churches and in the streets preaching using the bible which most people believe to contain the true word of God leaves you even more confused.
In olden days God chose prophets to lead his people in times of trouble and need. This prophets spoke directly to God and were given instructions on what to do for the people and where and how to lead them. Today, we have pastors who attend bible colleges to learn the word of God which is in the bible then come and teach the people. They act as mediators of the people.
The pastors are taught to translate the bible which is like a guideline from God on how to live our lives in a good way according to how God wants us to live. They learn how to live pure and righteous lives and to guide the people of God on what to do and how to go about the teachings of the bible. They have prophecies on what is to happen to those who do not follow the teachings and how the end times will be.
People believe that pastors are a medium between them and God. They communicate with God on their behalf. But pastors of today do all this and more but not without money. One has to pay for everything for any services from a pastor be it prayers, counseling etc. This is not the same as it was before because people only used to go to church, give your tithe and offerings and you are good to go.
These false pastors leave their followers living an empty life as they themselves live exaggerated and flamboyant lives, living large and enjoying the best in life. They do not care much about their followers as long as you give them anything they ask for in exchange for prayers which mostly do not work according to the way they should because some of them are not true pastors.
The false prophets mostly brainwash their followers making them believe that if you do not do as I say you will die. They make the followers believe so much in them that they forget that there is a God who never intends for anyone to suffer but to live a better life only if they believe and have faith.
The false prophets are usually afraid of the true and staunch believers because they know they can never fall for their untrue teachings. Standing firm and not changing churches every so often can help one grow spiritually because mostly if you keep on changing churches, you get confused because some teachings are different in different churches.
It is written in the bible that a lot of false prophets will emerge especially in last days and differentiating true prophets from the false will be hard, therefore, it is very important to follow the words of the bible and pray often for guidance and protection from the false prophets.
