I Was Told To Get My Hands On A Christening Gown And I Was Victorious

By Hilma K. Keebler

I was pleased to hear that my sister was going to have twins, and I told her that I would do whatever I could to help, which apparently meant that I had to hunt down a christening gown and while it was tough, I pulled through and did a good job. Even though she was having twins, they were fraternal and only one of them was going to be female, so my gown finding jobs were narrowed down to my only finding one gown and I was informed that the boy's clothes would be handled by my other sister.

The outfits were going to be simple to match since they would both be white, and I would not have to find matching white fabrics or anything that would make the task more complicated than it needed to be. In my mind's eye, I could see myself strolling into a delightful little shop all tucked away somewhere where the only thing that they sold was a christening gown that would be perfect and of course, this was not what happened, and I felt like a fool for thinking it.

I'll admit that I was a bit bummed out as I made my way home, where I sat down at my computer and began searching for the gown that would knock everyone's socks off at the Christening, but I didn't think it would actually happen. I was shocked, then when I learned that there was a wonderful website that had a fantastic selection of gowns that were just part of a larger collection of white clothing for other kinds of religious events.

I examined the options that were available on this website, and after taking my time, I picked a gown that I had a strong inkling that my sister might like, but I wasn't totally sure. When the package showed up on the doorstep, I took it out of the box and marveled at how completely cute it looked and I could totally envision my tiny niece in the gown I had chosen.

The twins arrived right on their due date, and I rushed down to the hospital to see them and hold them in my arms, and it was just a wonderful little moment that I will always remember for as long as I live. I showed my sister the gown and she loved it, telling me that she could not wait to show off her new baby and tell everyone what an amazing job I had done finding a dress in such a short amount of time in a small town!
